We are a practical training institute that focuses mainly on providing the highest quality earth-moving equipment operators, lifting equipment operators, semi skilled artisans, train the trainers and qualified tradesman skills development with the industry relevant certifications, recognized by the mining and construction industry for maximum employability.

  • Smart Institute of Mines [PTY] Ltd is accredited with Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA).

    Our courses are outcome based, structured to comply with South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and NQF requirements

  • We are in service level agreements with other services providers which are accredited with: Manufacture, Engineering and Related Services Seta (MERSETA), Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA), Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB), Registered Solar Geyser Training Facility, MQA.

  • Our external and internal accredited facilitators, assessors and moderators contracted are highly competent with extensive industry experience.

Certification for Qualified artisans (Red Seal Certificate Section 26D)

Certificates are issued directly from the Department of Higher Education and Training.

We only specialize in pre-trade test preparation at our workshops after students are done with their bookings at Olifantsfontein-Indlela Testing Centre. Preparation is strictly done for a period of 15 working days. Bookings can be done at any labour department office or directly at Olifantsfontein-Indlela Testing Centre.
